Is Bergdale Cottages family friendly?
Yes, we have lots of room for children to run around and enjoy our animals and we have travel cots and linen available (at an additional cost).

How far is the Kruger National Park from Bergdale Cottages?
Just a short 10 minute drive to Phabeni Gate which is the closest gate to the Kruger Park from Hazyview.

Can we help feed the animals?
We do have bags of Chicken, Duck and Guinea Fowl mix available for purchase at reception for R10/bag if you would like to experience the true farm life.
The horses are also always happy to see a carrot if you have some with you.

What are your check in times?
Anytime between 2pm and 8pm.​

Do you offer ready to cook dinner and breakfast packs?
Yes we do, however, these need to be ordered in advance so please request our menu options.
Do all of the cottages have private entrances / secure parking?
Yes, all our cottages have private fenced entrances (with parking space) and electric gates.
Do you have air fryers in all cottages?
Yes, all our cottages now have air fryers.
Do you have self catering options?
All our cottages are self catering with fully equipped kitchens, we do not offer any breakfast option.
Do you have a public pool?
No, we do not have a public pool on the property. We do however have a deluxe two bedroom cottage (Bergdale House) which has a private plunge pool.

Do all cottages have wifi?
Yes, all cottages have free wifi.

Is there a restaurant on-site?
Unfortunately not, however, there are quite a few lovely restaurants within a 7 minute drive from us.

Do you offer daily cleaning and laundry?
We do have daily cleaning options available at an additional charge of R300/day as well as laundry services at R250/load. Please arrange this prior to your arrival.

Do you have wood / charcoal available?
We do have a little shop at our reception where you are able to purchase wood, charcoal, firelighters, Kruger map books, etc.

Do you have extra beds / cots for extra children?
Yes we do. These are rented out to guests at an additional charge of R150 per extra child per night. Please note that only 1 extra child is allowed in a one bedroom cottage and 2 extra children are allowed in a two bedroom cottage. (Extra camp beds are only for children under the age of 14)
